In college, one does not only learn the material covered in the course but also various adaptable skills that applies to many part of our lives. And, in my opinion, the most important adaptable skill I am developing is time-management. I have learned "How to work under pressure?", through my 2 years in high school. Even so, time management is not solely working under pressuring but working effectively.

| UChicago Gear! |
Admiral Hillyer came over today at 4:30 PM to buy us UChicago gears and we all look mighty fine! I was unaware that the meeting would conflict with the office hours of my class. The meeting with the Admiral started at 4:30 PM and it ended around 5:15 PM. I scheduled a meeting with Teachers Assistant Ted at 5:10 PM. Though the schedule conflicted and I sent him an email informing of my tardiness, he was not disappointed and understood my side of the claim but I felt really bad because I made him wait.
Moreover, time management, also, applies in classrooms where if one is given assignments, one has to be able to prioritize their time and pick the best feasible decision in the given scenario. When teaching the class, Ted mentioned how he uses the economic intuition to make effective judgements.
Moreover, I have realized that through an economic intuition, I could further develop my time management skills. Ted and I met up for over 3 hours, reviewing Economics to make sure that I am very prepared for the test. He drew a budget constraint graph, which is affected by quantities and prices. The same logic of solving a budget constraint equation could apply to the real life if one replaces the price constraint with time constraint. To optimize, one needs to find two decisions (to choose between) and draw a budget constraint graph that represents time. Then, one could effectively find the optimal decision by drawing the indifference curve. Though the process of creating a budget constraint graph is, rather, time-consuming, it is worth it in the long-run.

Ted helped me understand indifference curves a lot. As a matter of fact, he stayed with my until 7:30 PM to help me understand conceptually rather than mathematically. Being a visual learner himself, he explained the concept really well, in a way where I understood everything.
There is a test tomorrow but I feel as if I am ready as ever. I am completely aware that there are way more smarter students than me in the class but even so, I have a good feeling about this exam. The difference between some of my classmates is that they chose Econ because they would find it easy (they took Econ before) whereas I took it because I never took an Econ course before. This course is definitely challenging but very worth it!
