Decision Day

Today was one of the few days that I got a plenty of sleep - 9 hours altogether. Due to the heavy coursework and as my economic knowledge is very limited, I spend a lot of hours studying, every week. But today as there was no class so I woke up at 9 AM.

At Office Hours
My morning was very difficult. I received my test score online and unfortunately, it was not what I was expecting. I have lost majority of my confidence in Economics, now. But even so, I organized a meeting with the teacher to further discuss how I can potentially improve my grade. He talked about my difference in learning style and recommended me to study individually, rather in a group. Our conversation floated to the economic implications of Artificial Intelligence.

Though the conversation gave me some confidence, I was still feeling as if my hard work was not rewarded. I took some time to study more because I was doubting my self-esteem and my capabilities. As the day progressed, I hung out with my friends in the lobby and discussed entrepreneurship.

Because my friend is starting a clothing brand, he was asking me about the procedures he has to take to start up a website and effectively promote his brand. As I have experience in web development, and marketing, I gave him a few suggestions to improve upon his business idea.
Some Calculus to spice up the mood (at office hours)!
I went back to my room to solve the problem set due on Monday. As I was working on the problem set, I felt more confident about the class.

Waiting for Sushi!
On Fridays the Residential Assistants bring food from a local restaurant every Friday; this time it was Mexican food. Issac and Rijul joined me for dinner. As the day felt casual, and I did not have class, I recommended to go to a Sushi place near our dorm.

Late night, we roamed through the city talking about our ups and downs about the day. While at the Sushi place, I only ate ice-cream because I was very already full from the Mexican food and I am also on a diet. I have lost 4 pounds since I came to Chicago with the help of the diet plan from Umer Lakhani, my boxer friend.

To close off the night, I watched a movie with my friends, The Pursuit of Happyness. Though there was not much to do today, I overall enjoyed the day.

Can't wait to study all day on Saturday! :)
