The prepossessing sight of the grass at Millennium Park always gets me! It has been a crazy long day! Frankly speaking, University life feels amazing! I have had one of the most memorable weeks of my life. There is so much freedom but with it comes a lot of responsibility. University life, for me, is an iteration of studying, playing FIFA, hanging out with friends, and sleeping.
As it is the weekend, we have a lot of free time. I spent the morning studying with my classmates as the class is getting very rigorous and as there is a test on Tuesday. Afterwards, I ran into Chris, Checo, and Guglielmo so we made adjustments and decided to head downtown. We all commuted through Uber and split the costs. All of us did not make any sort of plans ahead so we were just completely lost in the city. But it made the trip even better.
None of us brought wallets and had barely any money in our cards so we could not eat lunch there. It was a lot of walking and sightseeing.
Though, the rest of the crew were unaware of where we were, I spotted the Chicago River and as I had been there with the ILC'ers before so I sort of knew the way. I took them to Millennium Park, which was nearby. We did not snap a lot of pictures at Millennium Park but we did a couple of work-outs on the grass. None of us decided to visit the cloud gate because we had to study.
We only spent 1 and a half hours in the city. Afterwards, I came back, I helped Umer take pictures to send to his parents with my 16.2 Megapixel camera. Umer was born in Pakistan and currently resides in Dubai. He is a boxer, swimmer, cricket-bowler, and soccer player. He earns money as a boxer because he competes in fights. Later in the day, he taught me how to box, and effectively lose weight.
The rest of the day featured a lot of FIFA. Though, I started playing FIFA, yesterday, I have greatly improved. I beat Umer, who has played for almost the rest of his life with the score being 1-0. We were equally matched before but I learned really quickly. Not to mention, that I made it to Semi-Final in FIFA, yesterday with the Trott house.
Some of my friends invited me to head out to Lou Malnati for dinner but FIFA has been catching onto me so I had to say no. I continued our soccer quest.
Tomorrow we are going to head out to the West Commons to watch the World Cup Final between France and Croatia!
